Product owner e-commerce Amsterdam

My client, an international scale up, is looking for an passionate Product Owner. In this position you will be responsible for part of our customers journey. You will be the driving force of meeting the expectations of their users, solving their problems and making their experience as fast, safe and simple as possible.

As a Product Owner you are also responsible and accountable for professionalizing the way they approach and improve the performance of our platform, setting clear goals around conversion optimization, site speed improvements and customer satisfaction. Furthermore, you are exploring and building new customer features that make the user experience better and provide convenience, added value and trust to their returning customers.

You will work together with the other Product Owners, Developers, UX Designers, and Data Scientists, where you are in the center of ther users, their commercial business and their tech development.

Your contribution to their mission

The business is growing rapidly and my client is becoming the global leader on the branded payments market. They are aiming to make a giant leap in improving the user experience of their on line  platforms, hece the need to hire a product owner with an extensive track record in delivering new product features. Someone with a critical mind when it comes to evaluation and prioritization of new initiatives.

Furthermore, you are a professional with strong commercial acumen who will connect easily with our business strategy and goals. Finally you act as the main point of contact for anything that concerns your product domain and the one who will look to solve any potential problems together with its own development team.

Your tasks will include things like

• Being the lead of creating a champions league ecommerce experience for thier platform.
• Identify user needs, align these needs with business goals and priorities and translate them into improvements, product developments and creation of new features.
• Connect with your commercial counterparts to define the Key Performance Indicators of your domain and work together in order to improve them.
• Being able to priorities your backlog based on customer value and commercial goals, whereby predictability of the outcome is high.
• Develop/coach your team to a high quality level.
• Align with multiple stakeholders, incorporating feedback early and often and appropriately.
• Consumer focus combined with good/smart commercial sense.
• You really like to make a high impact in the working experience and collaboration by keeping an open, direct and that makes us a bit better every day.

What do you have to offer

• Passionate about always putting the user needs first.
• Experience at a high volume ecommerce company.
• Ability to communicate and manage different level of stakeholders
• Acumen with commercial goals setting and data driven
• A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in business, engineering or equivalent discipline with problem-solving skills
• Extensive experience in managing properly a product development backlog
• Speaking multiple languages next to English is a plus
